I Wish

I Wish - Nancy Guettier This is a book with a sweet message emphasizing the power and beauty in friendships and being who you are. Its an easy read, and a pleasant story to read a bedtime with your child. It also opens up the opportunity for discussion on why its best to be happy with who and what you are, and how true friends will not ask you to change, but like/love you just as you are.

The only downside to this book is that the illustrations are a liiiiiiiiittle creepy. The eyes on the kids look a bit off in some indescribable way, so its not a kids book I was eager to spend a lot of time looking at with the six year old.
