Undressed to the Nines, overall, provided an engaging read with a strong female character as the protagonist. It was refreshing to see a female who enjoyed her beauty, used it to her advantage, also be intelligent, strong-willed, and able to think on her feet. The two hardly ever mix as well as they did in this novel.

That is not to say this is the perfect thriller, because its not. A few of the pieces didn’t fit together as well as they could have. One decision by the character in particular had me scratching my head. However, there’s really very little to pick at.

Probably my favorite part of the novel were the quotes (Sometimes from the characters, sometimes from elsewhere) that started each chapter. One in particular quote about Christianity had me laughing.

For a debut novel, this is a surprisingly solid, refreshing entry into the thriller genre. It’ll be interesting to see what the author comes up with next. While I’m not exactly going to shout about this book from the rooftops, I definitely think if you like thrillers you should check it out. You most likely won’t be disappointed.
